Wild Oregon A-Surfs Up!
The Wild Oregon A Expedition has gotten of to a terrific start. We first met the group at Portland Airport with old friends and new ones uniting. Next they were off to the picturesque Cannon Beach for a picnic lunch and their first taste of the mighty Pacific. They established base camp at Beverly Beach and met with legendary surf instructor Paul Hansen. The group got outfitted with longboards, wetsuits and booties and Paul worked with them over the course of 2 days. By the end of the surfing leg, everyone was able to paddle in to a wave, pop up and surf all on their own. Paul has worked with us for the last 12 years, and we are proud to report that he claims this to be the best group we have ever sent him. The second day of surfing provided some nicer weather, and after a full day on the water they celebrated with a campfire, smores, first Group and the fantasy game. The leaders, Ali, Kevin and Tate are thrilled with the way the first couple of days have gone. Tomorrow they head south to the Oregon Sand Dunes for Sandboarding!!!
